Who Is the Alliance  Who Is the Alliance
Making Healthy Disciples I, Workshop
Are You Maintaining Programs or Making Disciples?
This workshop teaches a biblically based philosophy and strategy for making healthy disciples at every age level through local church ministry. Developed by Alliance disciple-makers, this training is making a difference in how leaders and teachers think about and do ministry.

Why MHD Training?
The Making Healthy Disciples (MHD) workshop is designed to challenge the thinking and move the hearts of local church leaders, teachers and workers from merely running programs to an intentional people-focused, disciple-making ministry agenda. MHD offers participants a clear biblical strategy for making healthy, balanced disciples at every age level. To schedule an MHD, contact your District Office or Joe Burchill at burchillj@cmalliance.org.

Key Questions Church Leaders Must Address
1. Is our church merely conducting programs or intentionally making disciples?
2. Do our leaders, teachers and wortkers know what a healthy-discipled student looks like at each age level—children, youth and adult?
3. Do people know the purpose and value of the ministry programs we offer?
4. Do we randomly choose curricula based on hot topics and popular authors, or do we have a curriculum master plan designed t deliver a balanced spiritual diet to every student?

Who Should Attend the MHD Workshop?
The MHD training is valuable for every local church leader, teacher and worker involved with students at every age level—children, youth and adult. Pastors and elders have also benefited from the training.

What Will Participants Experience?
• Identify four spiritual food groups and twelve spiritual growth issues essential in becoming a healthy disciple.
• Learn how to develop and write a description of a healthy-discipled child (age 12), youth (age 18) and adult (age 19 and above).
• Be challenged to define a clear purpose statement for each existing ministry program in their church in view of adding, deleting and/or changing programs to ensure the delivery of a healthy, balanced spiritual diet for every student.
• Be equipped to develop a master curriculum plan designed to intentionally deliver a balanced spiritual diet for making healthy disciples at every age level.
• Receive a Ministry Resource Directory CD containing recommended curricula for teaching the twelve spiritual growth issues to students at every age level.
